    THE AQUEON MINIBOW FILTER CARTRIDGE KEEPS THE TANK WATER CLEAN...

    I thought I had kept my new aquarium clean since I only fed my betta the pellets and only a small snack of flakes. In a month, the water was transparent and not smelly but the Aqueon filter was dirty. I then decided to see what was going on and removed the fish to do a partial water replacement along with the removal of ornaments and live plants. When I took out the ornaments and pebbles I was surprised by the amount of sediment accumulated at the bottom and the cloudiness of the water. I am glad I did not listen to suggestions to just replace the filter and a percentage of the water. I let the sediment settle down and used the siphon to remove it. The Aqueon siphon removed it all and the water left was clean. I then added the necessary water (prepared at aquarium temperature). No more ...
