    Good for the price.

    This is a nice little machine to own if you enjoy making miniature furniture or any other miniature items. I dont have a big enough problem to give this anything less than 5 stars because anything I couldn't figure out, I used my handy search engine to look it up. Had it come with an instruction manual, things would have been a little easier to figure out, but It didnt take long to find out what I needed to know. The hex tools provided were not the right size at all, not even close, but, I've got enough tools around my house to fix whatever I needed to fix. The mandrel can be raised up a bit for bigger pieces of wood, however, the live center did not come equipped with what it needed to become even with the other side, so I fixed that up and it worked just fine.     I like the lathe but it is small. The cost is great! The tools are super cheap the you will want to buy real ones right after you try the ones supplied. I am totally new to turning and this product is a great place to start.

    Very Small Lathe

    Actually I bought it as a very-small lathe, and it works. I have used it to turn a few handles for measuring spoons. My granddaughter likes it too. I taught her on a full sized lathe, but this fits her a little better.

    Great for small wood projects!

    This mini lathe perfect for making wooden rings, and other small wooden objects. The tools included aren't the best quality but I had spare carving chissles and you can buy some for a fair price online. As far as making rings go you would have to make a ring mandrel which isn't hard at all what I did is I bought a wooden leg for a small table for $3 at Lowe's I cut it to size and then I hammered a nail in the fatter end and drill a hole in the small end for the tail stock. That's pretty much it just make sure you true up the mandrel which is making sure it turns smooth to the touch or when it turns put a pencil on it and see if it covers the wood. All I can say is for the price it's great and makes small wood projects easy and fun.

    200W mini lathe

    This is a must have for tinkerers. It works great and worked perfectly out of the box. The cutting tools won’t work however. I picked up a set of Windsor lathe tools at Harbor Freight for $10...easy fix. The photo was my first attempt at a Cavalier P-51D tip tank in 1/48th scale with bass wood.
