Yesterday's technology at tomorrow's price
There are similar items for around $10 now. Besides the price, my specific issues with the ES5000 are: 1. The Android app is a little hard to use, and must be downloaded to each device you want to use the scope with. Not such a big deal unless you're on a job site w/o internet access. And if Ryobi ever pulls the app off the Play Store then this expensive tool just became a green paperweight. 2. The lights aren't very bright, even on high you can only see about 3-4 feet in a dark space. 3. Kills AA batteries fast, less than two hours run time on new Duracells 4. This the big problem for me, it connects to your device as a wifi network, not Bluetooth. This is a pain as you have to set it manually on your device each time you turn on the scope and you can't be connected to another network at the same time.

Did arthroscopic surgery on my wall with it to bring monster cable up through the wall to my home theater speakers. Two little holes and a 8ft. cable puller tool I found at a estate sale for a buck. Put the inspection scope down one hole and cable puller in the other hole 10 minutes later had wire pulled for both wall speakers. So simple. A+++ scope
