    Spot-On Replacement of Original Nutone Vent Motor

    This motor was a spot-on replacement of the original Nutone vent motor that lasted 38 years. Installation was easy and there was only one little hiccup: the rectangular slot for the power outlets (one to plug in the motor, the other for the light) of the motor-frame assembly is slightly smaller than the original slot. However, I could still access the power outlets and it was not material to the final installation. The vent fan works as expected and is quieter than the fan it replaced. I highly recommend this product.

    no good options

    It is extremely loud. Unfortunately, I cannot access the attic to be able to replace the entire unit with a quieter model, so I had to settle for replacing the burnt out motor in the existing unit. As for quality, one could ask why I am having to replace the motor after only a few years of very occasional use.
