    Great for runners

    After about a dozen runs using this watch, the tracking is fantastic. Garmin has a lot of other models that have numerous features which I felt I didn't particularly need. The vivoactive, for example, tracks biking, swimming and golf. My primary sport is running, and that's all I wanted a GPS watch for. The connection to the Garmin Connect app (and integration with Strava) allows for seamless review of stats from all of your runs.

    Solid watch aside from limited display and connection issues

    Overall, it does what I need it to do -- give me my pace and distance. It's my first GPS watch, and I've been on about 5 runs with it. Display is very easy to read and the interface is very straightforward. Retrospectively, I wish I had gone for a more expensive watch. I would really like to view pace, time, and distance on the same screen -- it's hard to pick two of the three. I currently use distance and lap pace on screen 1, with time and current pace on screen 2. Wish there was a third screen for average pace. I had connection issues when I first bought the watch. It would connect and sync to my iPhone 6s, but the data/run would not transfer. I called in to customer service after 3 runs but still couldn't get it to work. For whatever reason, today's run did transfer via bluetooth so ...

    Good entry level GPS watch

    Looked at few similar products from tomtom, garmin, polar. Selected this garmin because it has great standby endurance (10 weeks), is waterproof (I don't take it off during swims or showers), has quick GPS locator and looks like a wrist watch rather than some expensive fashion accessory (my running takes me through less favourable neighbourhoods) and at my price point. I would make the same decision if I had to do it again.

    I got a dud!

    I honestly loved the watch until it stopped working properly. After a week, on a full night charge it would only last about 10 hours. Thankfully it is under warranty and has been returned for repair.
