VERY IMPRESSED!!
For a “Universal” part - This is about as good as it gets! Needed a spark arrester for my 82 IT-465 which has an aftermarket DG pipe and DG silencer. This is the only choice I know of for a U.S.F.S. approved spark arrester for an old dirt bike like mine. Included is a short bent pipe that’s expanded on one end, and a triangular support bracket to weld on if needed. Both are “cut to fit” parts and worked really well to make it all go together. I cut the short pipe 1st. It goes between the pipe and the spark arrester. Then I cut & welded the bracket to the short pipe which made for a very solid mount. It sounds good!! But what really made me happy was how much better it made it run! It made a noticeable improvement!! I wasn’t expecting that... (-: FMF has a great product here which I am very thankful for!! I highly recommend it. Thank You!!

Instant power improvement for my old 250 2 stroke
Kit arrived really fast. Fit to my DT250F after taking the pipe to the exhaust shop and putting in just one bend then it was a perfect fit. Compared to the stock muffler the power comes on sooner and revs higher than before. Super happy and it looks great.

I installed this on my ATK 250 after the stock silencer/spark arrestor cracked. I race off road desert racing and it has held up well over 8 races. I even noticed a performance increase but more importantly it made the exhaust note sound sweet. I like it so much I am now installing one on my second bike. Installation was not difficult. I cut and welded the supplied tube and tab to make a connector pipe. For the second one I'm cutting the stock connector pipe and I will test to see which configuration is better.

FMF universal 2 stroke pipe
Not as pictured, the pick shown in the add is a 4 stroke pipe, actually looks kinda like a D&G pipe, all stainless steel and re-packable, installed on my 1984 dt 200R Yamaha with 4 additional washers and some cutting, made more tourque, midrange acceleration, improved exhaust note alot!
