I have had purchased 2 of these new. The 1st one broke (stopped pumping all fluids) just outside the 1 year warranty. Gave them them the benefit and bought the 2nd. That one lasted less then a year and broke (don't remember what was wrong). Sent it back for warranty and got sent re-manufactured one. That one flipped the breaker every time I turned it on. All I can say is that the motor is not supposed to be giving off sparks, especially outside the motor. Sent it back and got another one. That one lasted me from December 05 until April 09. That was not very long, especially if you consider that the washer is only mainly used in 2 rooms to clean the open area of the carpet and only used once for each room every 1 to 2 years. I believe I got about 3 cleanings with this last one. Would have been cheaper to rent one. It was very easy to send it back. No hassles (as long as it is under warranty), you can send them back at any Walmart for free, as per their agreement with walmart. I called up to try to get a new pump for it and found that they will only sell internal components (pumps, motors, etc.) to authorized service centers. You can buy all regular parts (soap and water containers, plastic covers, etc.) from the company, but no internal parts. When i tried to find this out, I found that they wanted to go over a list to make sure of the problem. Problem with that is that when you say that you tried something like spraying out of the hand nozzle and the floor multiple times and only get a second of pressure on both, well how many times do you to check it.. I'm guessing 10 because they keep asking for it over and over again.. ANNOYING!! Now for the design and features. The design is nice and the ease of use while using it is nice. The separate container for soap and water means no need for mixing and can change from soap and water to all water at any time with the twist of a switch. The handle on the water container is designed well too. The water container and the dirty water go into the same container which means only 1 container to take out and refill besides the soap. The water container is very easy to take out (once you lay the handle all the way down on the floor) and re-install into the washer. The soap container is very easy to get to and fill as well and will last for 1 - 2 buckets of water, depending on if you have it at light or heavy duty cleaning. The flow of the water and the suction is good so floors are not soaked when finished, yet it puts out enough water that you don't need to go over it a dozen times to clean the area. These are the good features. Where the main water container is can be annoying, especially if you are in a tight place. You have to lower the handle all the way to the floor to retrieve the water container every time that you need to refill it. Which means if you are in a tight hallway or something, you may need to move it to a different place or try not to trip over the washer when getting to / replacing the water container. The belt is easy to get to if it jumps track (it never did), but looks like it might be a pain to replace if you need to (never had to replace it). Overall, the features are nice, The easy of use could be better for refilling the water, but the durability and the length of the product will last are very poor. You will NOT get your moneys worth unless it is used a lot in the first year while it is still under warranty. I would stay away from this one.Read full review
VERY POOR DESIGN, belts are very hard to change. MUST UNASSEMBLE THE HOLE THING TO CHANGE BELTS. STILL BETTER THAN THE HOOVER. EUreka IS THE BEST SO FAR.
