I have access to 2 38's and a tsr-8 other than the 38 that I am working on, they do not work on those machines either. I borrowed some calipers from work and measured the stock black ones, ALL 12 measured EXACTLY .0095" in thickness, quite a bit thinner than .015" which is implied to be the stock size. This doesn't seem to have anything to do with tolerance of the washers or the caps. I had actually bought these via A TEAC tech called skywave in the usa he is very ell respected on tapeheads and he actually ordered them for me
