    The 512 SSD installation was simple and easy. After boot-up and getting to the Apple logo and updating the IOS, everything was very easy. I never could get the SMC reset to work, however The PRAM reset worked. First try was not successful, Apple file ? (not Good) 2nd try, (Option,Command,P,R) worked. WiFi password, followed by installing Monterey, after reboot if asked if I wanted to use Time Machine backup recovery. After Time Machine and updates, all is good. Very Happy Customer.

    Great Upgrade for Mac Air

    Super easy to replace and upgrade our 2014 MacBook Air. Instructions came to have the Mac recognize the new part. After a restore we now see I’ve 400GB of available space (which is way up from the 5 GB I had)

    It's the real deal!

    This SSD works exactly as described: I simply removed the original one in my 13" MacBook Pro (Early 2015) and plopped this bad boy in there. It worked without any issue, booted to a clean install of Catalina, and has ran perfectly since. I primarily use this laptop for running Ableton and Logic, and a previous SSD replacement I used kept causing random laptop freezes and crashes. Not in this case! You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

    Exactly what I needed. I have an Owc ssd that I upgraded to awhile back and I kept my original 256 gb Apple ssd. Unfortunately the latest OS Monterrey requires an original apple ssd to provide a needed firmware update. And even more unfortunate was that my original 256 gb apple ssd was not large enough to handle the update…instead of buying a new MacBook I was able to buy this 512 apple ssd, make the upgrade, then reinstall my owc ssd. Worked like a charm!
