WELL THERE IS NO OTHER CHOICE
If you want to repair your pump that has a failed pressure switch then you have to buy the matching pressure switch. Unless you buy a new pump and throw away your perfectly serviceable existing one, you don't have a choice. So rating this is a bit pointless as you don't really have an alternative to go for. That said, this review may help you decide if going for a new pump is a better option. I am no engineer. In fact, I am completely impractical, yet having had a couple of minutes of advice from a visiting engineer, plus reading the instructions that came with the switch, I managed (in very cramped conditions in my boat's bilges) to remove the old switch and fit this one in about 90 minutes (using a mirror because I could not quite get underneath the pump to see the switch). I guess someone who knew what they were doing and had some practical experience could do it in 15-20 mins. The instruction sheet is barely adequate as it has a number of omissions (eg that the switch cover must be removed prior to trying to fit the switch, that the screwdriver to use must have a maximum diameter else it will break the tubes/slots into which the screws fit). The switch has some design flaws:- The cover has to be removed to fit the switch. You cannot tighten the screws with the cover on. Which means when you test the pump and water leaks..... you have to remove the cover again, tighten, replace the cover, and if it still leaks..... remove the cover and so on). The screws fit into stupidly thin tubes down the side of the switch so you have to force your screwdriver down the tubes so as to tighten the screws. Result = broken tubes. Why not have simple lugs against which the screw head presses when tightened? The switch has no physical guide (eg slot or peg and hole etc) to make sure an impractical person like me can fit the switch and be sure it is in exactly the right position. It was trial and error and fiddling about until I got the first screw in.... and even then I could not be sure I had the diaphragm in the right place and not nipped or something. So that's why it took me 90 minutes (+) - utter confusion as to why I could not get the screws in, why I could not tighten them; panic when I broke the tubes (relief when I realised it didn't matter), trial and error to get the right fit, testing and tightening 4 times until the leaks stopped. And I learned all the above. It has now been 3 days and it is still working fine. The switch has one great design feature - the spade connectors mean that you can swap out the switch without messing around with the electrics; I simply used my old switch's connectors to fit onto the new switch. Update - a couple of years later. This new switch lasted barely a year before it failed. So I had to buy a new modern pump.

Easily changed with old one and worked perfectly. The kit provided new wires that could be used, but mine were good on my pump, so I just plugged the new one in and screwed it down. My wash down pump wasn't working. It just stopped pumping one day, just stopped in the middle of spraying, no warning. It was sudden. The pump wasn't running, not just and not pumping water. Before I bought the switch I checked to make sure it was the switch. I took the cover off the old switch, while it was still on the pump. I bridged the two leads that are under the cover and the pump worked... so I ordered and installed the new one. If it didn't work, it would probably would have been something more serious, like the armature corroded & the motor shot. The new switch worked fine... A lot cheaper ...
