This card lacks GPU processing with modern video editing software. Or at least the current driver for the card does not allow for that. Works seamlessly with windows 10. In the near future I will be getting a more up to date card for advanced video editing. This card may or may not be suitable for gamers. I don't use it for that and can't say.

I installed this EVGA 9400GT in a Dell Optiplex GX620 with a Pentium D 945 dual core; 3.4Mhz w/2.5G ram. Dual boot system Win XP-Sp3 and Windows7 Ultimate. It definitely improved the video performance of XP, however I don't know exactly how much. I have no program to tell me exactly before and after results. The only thing I have to go by is my own eyes. With win7 it's a different story. Original desktop graphics as listed in Windows Experience Rating(WER) with onboard adapter was 3.3 and gaming graphics was a 3.1. For a while I had a Evga8400GS installed and the desktop graphics in WER were listed as 3.6 and gaming graphics were listed as 3.8. With the 9400GT installed, the desktop graphics listed with WER at 4.7, and gaming graphics listed at 5.9 Now I personally don't use the machine for intense graphic gaming, however I do watch a lot of fast action movies, video news, music videos, and short video clips from the internet (such as with Hulu, Silverlight, and Adobe Flash player For this, there is indeed a VERY noticeable improvement over the built in graphics adapter, or the 8400GS that I had installed for a while. Also according to the temperature report(with PcWiz), it runs pretty cool at 41 degrees C. It has an on card cooling fan, but it either: 1)doesn't work, 2)isn't needed, or 3)is the quietest fan I've ever heard. Someday I intend to open the case and look at it when the computer is running full on, just to see what's going on. This card comes with 2 DVI-I outputs(2 vga adapters were included with mine; and a Svid output. Haven't had a chance to try the Svid out, or hook up multiple monitors; but indeed I intend to do so when I get a chance. Kinda wish it had a direct HDMI out. I guess I'll just have to get an adapter for that, or get a DVI-I to HDMI cable to hook it up in clone mode to the HD big screen. BTW it also comes capable of SLI. At any rate from what I've experienced so far; it's a pretty decent card. Seems really well built. Solid performer. Would I buy another like it? In a heartbeat if needed. Great card that continues to purr!Read full review
But just in case you haven't checked the forums yet, this card works great in a Ubuntu Karmic 9.10 64-bit system, even though 64-bit systems tend to have compatibility problems. While there ain't much out in linux that's graphically intense, those that are fly with this machine. Rumor has it that nVidia is not planning on supporting linux as much as they have previously, but I just downloaded an updated package a few weeks ago. One note: you have to use Compiz Fusion instead of Compiz to get your enhanced desktop effects to work. Running dual-output and Twinview without any hitches. While this might be an entry card for a Vista/System 7 bloated pork product, it's pretty much all you need for a linux distro. I picked it up for around 55, and couldn't be happier.
i bought this item beacause at the point in time i was really in need of a graphic card for my desktop. i bidded on the item and won it so i decided to pay immediately. however, wat i dislike about the product is that its really irritates me because as soon as the computer is switch on the fun on the card is very noisey. i honestly believe that this item is faulty.
Good graphics with multiple monitor capability. I love these particular cards
