    Don't waist your money on anything else!

    Of all the overdrives I have owned this one has the magic. It sounds so natural and smooth with very little noise. It does not color my original tone, it adds life. The 3 band EQ is very responsive with just the right frequencies. The notes are precise and clear, even with the drive all the way up. Don't expect a ton of gain(it's not a distortion type of pedal), but does have plenty of mouthwatering drive for rock, blues and country. You don't know me, but you have to trust me, "unless you want to go tone hunting", try this first and enjoy perfect overdrive tone. Greg Yarber

    Retains clarity of lowest tones, great 3-control tone shaping

    The 805 stands out among 15 other overdrive pedals I've carefuly compared it to when searching for very overdriven sound but with lowest-string clarity with my short-string bass and tube amp. Some well- known guitar pedals fuzz out on the low motes, a couple just creating a mess there when at higher gain. Yes, the 805 isn't promoted as a high gain pedal and isn't, but when iit is used at its highest-gain Drive the low notes are defined and stringy. They sound like bass guitar strings, not a buzzy processing of such. The 805 3 tone controls shaping is the best I have experienced, huge difference from the common 'tone' knobs on many pedals. This is a GREAT pedal.

    SD 805 Overdrive

    This is a really nice overdrive effect. I use it with several guitars and primarily with a Mesa rectoverb tube amp. It really enhances the tube amps already great sound. It makes the gain just sing with sustain yet not over the top growl. I love it- better than the 808 ibanez tube screamer IMO.

    Great pedal

    This pedal is actually what I wanted. I have a Vox AC10 Amplifier which is petty clean. I wanted a overdrive pedal that would give me the edge I was looking for. This gives it just the sustain and distortion I needed at any volume.
