I have owned this model camera since 2000. It takes fabulous 35mm photographs. It is very well made, is easy to use, reliable, in my eyes attractive and it is a Leica. But repairs and spares are non existant.

Awesome camera, amazing price. Fully funtional. Only thing is when packaged you guys put a sticker on the actual camera with packing info? Dont understand why, left a huge amount of sticky packaging residue and when tried to clean off the z2x logo was scraped off and now has a sticky film on the front from it. Future reference, would be nice to not put stickers on the camera. Other than that great shopping with you guys.

The main reason I decided to purchase this unit was the Leica name quite frankly. I wanted a "point and shoot" film camera and did not want anything asian. I read reviews on these types of cameras and found this one to be consistently highly rated ; more so than even its more expensive siblings in the line. Given the limitations inherit in its size and deign / functional capabilities, this camera performs very well. Its optics are obviously better than other cameras of this type i have owned or used. The 'red eye eliminator' / delayed flash works very well indoors - my dogs' eyes are actually gold in the photos now! The only downside is the noise it makes ; doesnt bother me, but it is loud enough to awaken said canine or divert his attention enough to cause him to stop doing whatever it was that was so cute i grabbed the camera to take a snapshot of him. Learning to be quieter and more stealthy with this unit!Read full review
nothing much to say, is a Leica camera, even if is the cheapest one. Is good for people who wants a compact film camera and is tired of Lomos and their lack of taking pictures in every situations (the price for this camera is actually lower than a Lomo-LCA). It has a zoom good enough for panoramas and portraits, is fast but a bit noisy, you can even shot without using the flash. and the lens is a bit "dark" but is a famous Vario Elmarit Leica. Think about it.
This is my first Leica and although it is entry level, it's doing everything I could ask for and more.
