Super easy to use; works all season.
Easy to use & it works all season. Best for in-garden plants. You DO NEED TWO stakes per plant, so buy accordingly. The Jobe stakes do need to be pushed all the way into the soil, and I found it easier to make the hole first, rather than push with my fingers, as stakes are about 2 inches long & rather blunt. When watered, or rained on, the stakes gradually break down over time & feed the plant. Note: the stakes do not include any calcium, that tomatoes often need. This product is not suitable for use in Earth planting boxes. They require a different set-up with the calcium and fertilizer mix, they recommend, spread all along the top of the soil in the box under the plastic cover.Easy to use & it works all season. Jobe's Tomato Plant Fertilizer Sticks
This was the first year I purchased the Jobe's fertilizer sticks and I have to tell you, they have given life to my tomato plants! They recommend you use 2 per plant, but I only used 1 per plant and my plants took off in no time. This isn't a joke - this is real. I had purchased an early girl, big boy and patio plant for my small garden. Within 3 weeks, I had a tomato on my early girl plant. It is now 5 weeks from planting my fertilizer sticks and I have a tomato the size of a golf ball on my plant. For good quality fertilizer, I would recommend these 100%.This was the first year I purchased the Jobe's fertilizer sticks and I have to tell you, they have given life to my tomato plants! Jones Fertilizer Stakes
These are good for all kings of plants, but formulated especially for the needs of tomatoes. I planted mine too close together, and they were choking each other. Water was running right thru them, not helping much. After I put the little stakes in, the affectiveness was AMAZING! They are big bushes now!

I’ve been using these spikes for years, great product. Plants are very healthy if used right. ( read instructions) I’ve grown over 2 pound tomatoes. You still have them give lots of attention.

We live at 6000 ft in a Idaho high desert area with a very short growing season.
