    Fantastic upgrade

    This relay and harness is absolutely fantastic. It gives my 68 Dodge Charger an extended lifetime as the original wiring when used with halogen headlamps draws too much current for the headlight switch and wires. This is a perfect solution for removing the high amperage from the entire headlight wiring. Harnesss and relay are heavy duty and all you will ever need. A truly genius solution being so easy to install.

    Not that great

    Poor diagram with harness. Not using this for exact intended purpose, not switching to h4 bulbs, simply altering it to work with original lights.. anyways the ground and switch wires are backwards on the relays? 85 is always ground and 86 is always switched.. this doesn't matter for all applications tho. Ceramic is kind of brittle, two were broke, one cracked and one even missing the chunk..so I know it wasn't from shipping .... You can tell the cost is simply because of the 12g wire and relays.. bought this to save time but I should've bit the bullet and built my own harness.oh and the one ceramic pigtail wasn't even completely cutout to plug in see photo

    cheap made junk

    i had to re pin both relays because the plugs were made so cheap that they didnt even connect to the relays. The headlamp connectors are also junk, they fiit too loose, so i had to take them apart to tighten the connectors, when i did the ceramic just busted to pieces because it is so brittle. i would NOT buy this again. I DO NOT recommend anyone else buy this, it is a waste of money and the time youll spend making it work correctly.

    high beam low beam problems wiring the relay harness for el camino.

    unplug all original headlight plugs and plug in the new connections 3 prongs in low beam and 2 prong in high beam. If high and low beam does not work right the new connection plug that goes to 1 low beam socket that you pulled off must have pins change around because of reverse polarity on your car. Take the new male socket and swap the top center pin with the left side pin and try if still doesn't work put back where they were then swap top pin with right side pin. This solved my problem and works great. Really had me baffled for awhile. The LED portion did not require the relays as they don't require full 12 + volts like the H4 bulbs. Hope this helps.

    Must have

    I installed some hid halo headlights in my 87 elCamino about a year ago and had nothing but trouble with them flashing like they were wired through a signal flasher. I purchased these ceramic socket plugs, plugged the harness in and instantly my problem was SOLVED. Great product, simple installation and does what it's advertised to do!!!
