    Good HP CPU fan replacement, may require modification to mount

    Bought this to replace the dying CPU fan in my HP Pavilion. Same brand, specs and size as the original, with one exception. The mounting screw holes on this one run through a cylinder that runs front to back on the frame. The original fan didn't have the molded cylinder, just the square frame on either side. Consequently the original mounting screws were way too short. Since I didn't have the screws that would be required to mount the replacement fan in its supplied form, I modified the fan by cutting the cylinder with a rotary tool.
