Great Watch for the Price!
Rugged watch. A little thicker than what I am accustomed to. Took me some time to get used to it. Sychronizes time very easily. Many people have complained about the numbers being just too hard to read. This watch excels in the bright outside. If light can hit the watch, you can see the numbers. I have the GW-7900-1 also but this 7900B looks great. I have not set up the tide and the moon phase yet but everything else I have set up works fine. The thick manual is an easy read. All of the functions are well explained and easy to follow. To charge up the battery I attached the watch to the cargo rail on my car for a day and the watch has been on high power since. Best Bang for Buck!
You can not find a better product for $100 odd USD. Its comfortable, stylish and not for the minimalists. It has a presence on your wrist. it packs multiple useful features that any outdoor person would like. I have bought this as my Range watch, when i go shooting or hunting. Its Atomic Time feature is good, no need to correct time every now or then.

While a hefty watch in terms of size, it wears light and is very comfortable. For the cost, this watch offers a lot of features. Tough Solar, Multi Band 6, moon phase, tide chart, world times and all of the usual goodies that come with a G Shock. On top of all of that, it's tough. I don't worry at all about it getting roughed up as that is what it's made for. Overall, I love it and wear it often. While a hefty watch in terms of size, it wears light and is very comfortable. Great watch with usable features that are easy to navigate within a few days. The negative/reverse screen image takes getting used to as you need the correct angle to view with older eyes (54). Getting used to viewing but be prepared for this adjustment. Very tacticool look and extremely useful. High quality tough watch, goes everywhere!
