Carb with attitude
I used this carb on a gocart, with a GX420 clone motor made by Lifan. The main reason I bought it was because the idle jet was a screw-in brass jet, and the idle mixture screw was adjustable (instead of an EPA fixed idle screw which runs too lean). I was expecting to change the main and idle jets since the cart had a free-flowing air filter and free-flowing exhaust. The stock jets are 0.016 on the idle and 0.038 on the main. Surprisingly,my engine runs fine with the stock jets on this carb. The biggest change I noticed with this catb is acceleration from idle. Where the stock carb had boggy response to fast acceleration change, this carb is snappy, like a proper motorcycle engine response. The idle is a bit erratic right now. It idles fine, but lopes like a car engine with a hot cam ... I used this carb on a gocart, with a GX420 clone motor made by Lifan. when i started my engine the choke butterfly POPPED off. it worked good when it was in 1 piece but after 30 seconds it just popped out. i can put that thing on with one finger only for it to pop right off again. i had to use gorilla glue on it. It leaks out of the overflow. IN THE "OFF" POSITION. i dont know if this is the real gx carb or a knockoff but to me it seems like a knockoff. TRASH !!

Substitute carburetor
I didn't want to modify the existing gas carb with a spud-in, so purchased the after market carb for modification. Works great and if I want to change back to gas, switch the carburetors in short time.

I was about to take my pressure washer to a local shop to get my carb rebuilt and stumbled across this one. They would not have even taken off the old one for $17! I was skeptical, but I installed it in ten minutes and it started on the first pull. I ran it for a full three hours of pressure washing before darkness forced me to stop this evening. The old one NEVER took less than a dozen pulls even when it was brand new. I wish all my fixes were this easy.I was about to take my pressure washer to a local shop to get my carb rebuilt and stumbled across this one. They would not have even taken off the old one for $17!
