Amp blew in 4 days
The amp blew in 4 days. Running 2 5th gen alpine type r swr12d4 subs bridged. Gain was not touched, it came tuned to satisfaction. Amp sounded amazing for the 4 days it worked, it seemed to have a thermal shutdown, then turned back on after a few seconds, I then shut the amp off for an hour. After that time I turned the head unit back on, played a song, and the subs never came on. Pulled over, tested the connections had 12v going into the amp, ground was good, remote wire had power, however the amp still doesn't come on. Did not have volume so high it distorted or anything. I am experienced with sound systems and have installed a "few" in my lifetime. I would like to have the amp replaced under warranty or something to that extent, means how it blew in less than a week. Would be able to send it back if I were guaranteed a different amp that would last more than a week. If no compromise can be made I'll just rebuild it myself.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great sounding amp but overheats
I was very satisfied with the good clean power that the amp put out. I'm using a Skar 10" dual 2ohm paralleled to 4ohms. The amp is rated to handle a 4 ohm load but over heated in less than 10 minutes. Gain was turned up between 1/5 to 1/4. The few minutes that it worked, sounded pretty good for what I like. Puts out good solid bass with the sub. If you decide to go with one of these, make sure that a fan or other cooling device is used. Mine still works but the gain is set to the lowest setting. I've put it to the test with old school Metallica, DMX, Afroman, and all country music! I love this amp!
