The surprise was that there is map of the us on the other side of the pieces! It was two puzzle for an incredible deal with no shipping. It was band new and was in perfect condition when it arrived. I would highly recommend this puzzle to anyone!

The US states map is on the reverse as one previous reviewer noted. I would also agree with a previous reviewer that the 3-5 age range would probably not be correct although some 5 year olds could perhaps do it. I would say 5-7 would be more appropriate. A great value for what is appears to be, however..
