This is just the right size! Just the right amount of information! Love that it vibrates when I have a message on my phone because I am always all over the house and forget my phone! It has various exercise tracking (except for weight lifting which I wish it had). GPS for walking is wonderful too. Alta HR Fitbit
Fitbit Alta HR. Pleased with my purchase. I had the older Alta and it fried a few weeks ago when charging it, with the original charger. Not sure why, but was so hot to the touch, I burned a finger when removing it from the charger. Glad I caught it when I did or possible fire hazard. New Alta HR seems to be fine, so far. A bit glitchy getting it to sync as it should on my phone, but see on their forum that it's a common issue, so perhaps an update needed for the app? Sleep tracker feature is awesome!
I wasn't sure about the heart rate monitor function - but after about 4 months of use really appreciate the sleep tracker capability. Initially I purchased this as a pedometer and as a movement motivator and it works well. Only downside is that I'm quite petite and even the small band gapes on either side of the tracker with enough room to put a finger between my wrist and the band. Fitbit is helping me improve my life style.
I like the Fitbit because it shows my heart rate as I move, so I know when I am burning calories. It is easy to wear and will tell me when I get a text, email or phone call, so I know to grab my phone. I have set it to remind me when to start my day and when to stop. I access it multiple times a day to see how many steps I have taken. It surprised me the first day. I put it on right after my shower and kept it on all day. Now just past I had to lug my phone with me everywhere to know my steps and many times I forgot and left the phone on the desk or in the car, something. With the Fitbit on my wrist I now know how many steps I actually log and it is a bunch. I can do 2 miles just in my house back and forth through the rooms. Excellent 2nd hand fitbit alta
After a few tries it aligned to right date and time, and is working well now. I don't think the battery holds power for more than 48 hrs, not the 3+ days described in ad. But it's otherwise in a good working condition, precisely as described, and w/o scratches. useless band
The fastener on the band of this Fitbit is really an ineffectual design. It was hard to fasten, and then became unfastened very soon. I ended up having to purchase a brand new band with a different clasp.
