Great cat door for small to medium sized cats but tight for large.
Love the door and quality of SureFlap products and this door is great due to the Dualscan Microchip ability which controls both exit and entrance. SureFlap makes a larger model that is better for large cats but it is not available in Dualscan unfortunately.

Only for small cats
It works for my smaller than average cat but would be too small for normal size cats. I use it indoors to feed my cats separately. The cat was afraid of it at first and needed a lot of coaxing. I cut the hole in the door and would put her in the room so she would have to come through the hole to get out. After a few days, I installed the SureFlap and taped the flap open. Then in another few days, I taped the flap so that it just hung open a crack and the cat could put her paw through first and see that she could push the flap open (it takes a little pressure to open the flap when it's completely closed). In another few days, she was using the SureFlap with no help.
