    Easy set up, works well

    My old router was on its last legs, so I decided to get a mesh router to deal with some of the dead spots in my house. This Asus mesh router was easy to set up and gives me great coverage over all of my 2500 square foot house. The software has a few minor annoyances (you have to go about 4 levels deep into the menus to turn the guest network on and off), but overall is very easy to use and has lots of features.

    Very Advanced Routing Feature Set with Equally Simple Setup

    I'm replacing a Google WiFi mesh with the ASUS ZenWiFi XT8. I was happy with Google WiFi, but it had a very minimal feature set for home based routers. The ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 has far more control of how to configure the entire mesh. For example, have some devices that cannot connect to a 2.4GHz WiFi signal if a 5GHz signal with the same SSID exists (some doorbell cameras, some robot vacuums, etc.). Then the XT8 allows you to simply disable the 5GHz antenna temporarily. Or maybe you have a more complicated network setup and need to assign a static route, totally doable with the XT8. These things can't be done with Google WiFi.

    Worth the money

    I replaced a WiFi router and range extender with this mesh system and now have noticeably stronger, faster internet everywhere in my home. Download speed has doubled and even tripled in some locations and the local connection between devices on my network is at least five times faster than it was. Set up was really easy. A couple of our smart devices have lost connection and needed to be restarted, but nothing is perfect. That and the fact that it's a little expensive are my only complaints.

    Great system, use to use and string,

    I've used the ZEN AX mesh system for three years with great success. It's easy to set up and manage and provides excellent coverage over a wide area. I purchased this system when one of my original routers died. Inserting it into the system was a snap; my system returned to normal at once.
