Nordic Ware Microwave Rice/Pasta/Spaghetti Cooker quick & easy way to make dinners & leftovers for breakfast too
It is so fast and simple to use. Put in all your ingredients. Cook for 6 minutes ......open and stir ..... cook for 6 more minutes ... open and stir ..... close vent for a few minutes to steam. THEN EAT. You have one complete meal.... brown rice with ground beef, cream of soup, soy sauce, ... or spaghetti, ... or Rice-A-Roni, ... or pork with rice and crushed tomatoes, ... or some other custom dish for one. Then you can save the leftovers in the cooker for at least two or three more meals. I had two ..... but I always seemed to have both in refrigerator at same time. All that cooking really roughs up the bottom inside of cooker ... so it was getting hard to clean and developing a crack/loose chip ... its only problem after heavy use of several years. So I bought two more.

Not what I expected
Well I was looking for something that was easier and cleaner to make rice in the microwave then using the 8 cup Pyrex measuring cup I have used for years. I followed the instructions and the rice was under cooked. It also made quite the mess through the vent holes and leaked all down the rice cooker/microwave tray. Also if you don't see that it has bubbled over on the top boiling hat water pours off the top and almost scalded my wife when she removed it from the microwave. After that she will not use it anymore. As far as price/quality it was affordable however it seems to have a couple flaws as mentioned above. The materials that it is constructed of seem to be solid enough to hold up but only time will tell. I'm still trying to figure out a better method of cooking rice in it but I think this is just going to be one items you just chalk up to testing and move on...

Nordic Ware Microwave Rice Cooker
This rice cooker is average, nothing special. The top is a little tricky closing. I found it to be a little cheaper made than my other microwave cooker. I would probably not by this particular one again. I would say it was average quality. Thank you, J Lapinski
