I specifically bought this (thinking that I could) to quickly sharpen a lawnmower blade (without removing the blade). I have a pneumatic handheld die grinder with a 1/4' shaft diameter too, but thought this would be more versatile being battery operated. I like it, but will defer sharpening lawnmower blades to a bender grinder.
