Something of a swan song for Sonic on his native Sega's Dreamcast, Sonic Adventure 2 gets a fresh start as the title comes to Nintendo's GameCube. In addition to the open-ended 3D platforming and high-speed adventure offered the original Dreamcast release, the GameCube's Sonic Adventure 2 Battle offers additional features, refined presentation, and an entirely new mode of two-person play.<br><br>The hurried hedgehog is joined by some of his old friends in this release. Knuckles shows up to offer his spunky brand of action and attitude. The nefarious and enduring Dr. Robotnik makes an appearance too, but the real villain in this adventure may be its newest character, Shadow, a dark, mysterious hedgehog whose speed and abilities might even rival those of Sonic himself.<br><br>The GameCube's Sonic Adventure 2 Battle features 12 playable characters in all, including Amy Rose, Metal Sonic, and Chaos Zero. In addition to the branching story of the adventure mode two players can also compete in the game's battle mode, which features a variety of racing and treasure-hunting challenges. As one of the first releases to support interconnectivity between the Cube and the Game Boy Advance, the game also brings VMU-style Chao-raising to Nintendo handheld gamers.

    Decent

    Item came in with more scratches on the disc than advertised in the pictures, but was also not locked into the disc's case (which could explain why there was more scratches). Despite all the scratches, the game still runs as advertised. I have only started it up, so I don't know if it will run smoothly during gameplay.

    Deceptive Listing But good Price

    Advertisement was a little deceptive. No front cover, and in a blank black box. Disc however works well, and was a good price. If I didn't already have the case from years back I would give this a one star. But, since I do I'll give it a 3.

    Clean, Functional, and Overall Great!

    Definitely a good steal for the price it was at. Product arrived promptly within a week and was sent as is! Game disc and box was clean and not damaged beyond repair. A good game for hours of content, whether by story mode, mission completion, or Chao raising. Provided me with some nostalgic smiles and thrilling laughs at some points during gameplay too.     Well-kept for its age

    This is exactly what I wanted! I purchased this as a gift for my brother (to feed his nostalgic memories of this game). There are a few scratches, which makes sense since the game is almost 20 years old. But it still works great and the scratches are nothing that can't be buffed out. It's exactly as we remember it, totally worth the surprise on his face and excitement when he started playing. Thanks for helping me surprise my lil bro!

    Great video game collection

    The sonic series is very cool for its time an age. The GameCube version is the only version of it that comes with unlockable sega games. The game cube games can be combined or used with specific game boy games through nientendo attachment. :) Works on wii too. The Dreamcast, Xbox one, and Xbox x will not unlock the extra stuff on cds.
