Night and day
I purchased the 7011 to replace a 7.2 Yamaha receiver which was malfunctioning. The sound quality is night and day. Even using the 7011 as a 7.2 there was no comparison. The Marantz is superior. I will be installing height speakers soon for the Atmos experience. Can't wait. The connectivity is really great with Bluetooth and wireless network capabilities. I'm using the Heos feature and love it. The remote is unified so I put away all of the old remotes. The only downside is the App. It's kind of clunky and unintuitive. This awesome surround receiver /amp has that great warm Marantz sound, well defined and clear! Upgraded from a Marantz 1403 which also was great.
