good stuff--highg price
This stuff works. I've used it on my boat (a 40 footer in the Pacific where everything rusts) for years. I used to buy it in a pint can for about the same price that the 8 oz bottle now costs. It used to be available in the hardware stores.--no more--probably low volume. The real problem is people think it is paint---NOT SO this stuff neutralizes rust thru a chemical reaction. The Rust-Oleum people need to get the word out. One-of-a-Kind
I love Rust Reformer and keep a bottle on hand always. Some 15 years ago I painted a short piece of railroad track with RR, and to this day that piece of metal retains the black, unrusted surface even tho it is exposed to weather on the back porch. The problem is that I cannot find RR in my local hardware stores anymore and had to order it online to secure a fresh supply. Rust Reformer is a one-of-a-kind product. Prefer a Brush able product vs Aerosol?
Rust oleum doesn't appear to market this product any longer in favor of their spray aerosol version of this product. I'm guessing that if you find this product it may be old stock but then I may be wrong. Frankly as paintable product used as a primer, it gives a better result than a not very "green" aerosol product. This stuff goes a long way and is easy to manage its application. Painting over it with conventional spray or brush able product doesn't appear to have any issues. I looked for this rust reformer in all the major home and hardware stores. And it seemed they didn't know what I was talking about. I have a steel garage door. Which is probably older then most people here on ebay ...lol ...It also weighs a ton. But it's lasted for years. However occasionally, because I live in an area that's prone to high snowfalls and deep sever cold during the winter. So over the years it tends to get some rust on it. This Rust Reformer is FANTASTIC !!! And it goes a long way. Applying this before painting any metal service stops it from rusting for years afterwards.
