A Fantastic Guitar For Any Style Player

I'll start by saying that I play a lot of different styles and am a MASSIVE Buckethead fan. Before playing this guitar, you have to keep in mind it was designed for Buckethead, who is 6'6". When I first picked it up, it felt gigantic. You don't really get this impression in the online pictures, but the body is more bulbous than a regular Les Paul, and the baritone scale length may take some getting used to if you have small hands. It was a little jarring at first, but thankfully I got used to it pretty quickly. Now its easy for me to play, and its comfortable to stand and sit with. No matter what you play, this guitar plays great, and the jumbo frets give it a unique feel. My only real complaint is that the thick Les Paul neck can make sweep picking difficult. Nevertheless, this is my new favorite guitar, and what steals the deal for me is the tone. The chambered body, wood choices, and long scale length all work together to create an incredible sound. The distorted tone sounds like a mountain exploding and the clean tone sounds like God crying. I have never played a guitar with such a rich, deep, penetrating sound. I have played probably over 100 different guitars in my life and nothing else sounds anything like this monster. If you prefer crunchier, old-school Strat-type sounds, the tone knob can pop out to activate a single-coil pickup. The killswitches are fun, too. The best part is that the guitar sounds exponentially better the louder you crank the amp ;-). In terms of build quality, its very good and solidly put together. It should last multiple lifetimes. I also really like the way it looks; the satin white paint, oversized body, and lack of fretboard markers give it a stark, almost alien look. It definitely looks better in person than online. I should probably mention that it smells like cupcakes. No joke. Yummy. Overall, this is a fantastic, versatile guitar, great for players with larger frames. If you're trying to be the next John Petrucci, there are easier guitars to shred on, but the way it sounds more than makes up for it. Definitely try it out if you get the chance. Its as unique as the artist its named after, and all the better for it.

Not really great, should have been cheaper

Action was too low, and the high E string would go silent at the 12th fret if I bent the string up a whole step...I adjusted it, and it seems a lot better. The volume and tone knobs were put on crooked, also, the tuners were changed and the screws on the replacement ones were in a different place, so now there are extra holes in the headstock that are quite visible,. Also, the original pick guard was removed, leaving more holes the are visible. So, I had to buy a new pick guard, as well as the bracket to replace the missing one.

  • Great Gibson guitar, and good easy playing neck for us singers.

It's a real Gibson, and it's great. I absolutely love how it plays. The neck is an easier one to play it seems than on the Standard. I am a singer who plays a bit, so I love it.

  • Les Paul Stuido Faded Series

The Les Paul Studio Faded series came in a few other colors than the faded brown or faded cherry. Blue stain, Black, and White were a few other colors, the blue one and the white one are harder to find. I bought this husk to redo, the previous owner went all out and swapped the chrome hardware for black, then when he got tired of it, he sold it off in parts. I am putting it back to the way it was with the exception of the black plastic parts, I am using cream parts instead to make it look more eye catching. it is a good guitar, too bad it is weight relieved and it is almost all CNC made anymore.

  • 2005 Gibson Les Paul Studio

Guitar arrived with some normal wear & tear, but 2 hours of cleaning, straightening, tightening & restringing was all that was needed to make Les Paul play & sound like brand new. THANK YOU!

  • 2016 Gibson Les Paul Studio Satin Ebony Electric Guitar

I bought this guitar without seeing it and when I pulled it out of the box I was very pleased. The satin look is very nice and the guitar plays like a traditional LP Studio. I have put some grover tuners, a set of EMG's Het set in chrome, and a new pick guard and it is AWESOME...

  • 2005 Les Paul Studio Alpin White

I have eight guitars, and three other Les Pauls, but somehow this one has become my favorite electric. It is kinda worn out, Gibson uses inferior paint on its studios. Anyone that tells you they are standards without the binding is wrong. But the heart is same, and the soul is projected into the guitar by its player, it is a heavy mahogany body and neck, with a maple top and the coveted ebony fretboard. I grew up with a 76 Les Paul Custom and it had an ebony fretboard and in my opinion is far and away the most desirable fretboard wood. I play this through a 100 watt triple rectifier tube amp, and the sound is ridiculous. I play rock guitar. From the 60's to today. When I got this Les Paul I immediately changed the pick guard and truss rod cover and als the pickups selector plate and toggle so they are all new Gibson parts. Made a bid difference. It looks like it's wearing a tuxedo. The music store in Illinois that sold me the guitar are pros. They set this thing up intonated up and down the neck, and cleaned the neck so no gunk whatsoever. Very appreciative of those guys. I had to buy a case for it, but hey the price I paid was great so no big deal. If you want the Gibson experience, I highly recommend the Studio model. Great sound, great looks, go for it!

  • 2014 Gibson Sudio Pro

Whats not to like in a real Les Paul made by Gibson, classic 57 pickups, flame maple top, coil tapping and weight relief body makes it the best Les Paul design ever. You won't regret getting this model that sustains sound forever.
