Well, it was a good movie, however.....
It was a nice Hollywood movie, however, and I say this first, I love David Suchet as Poirot. After reading the book, we watched all the 4 versions we could find. To me it was a nice Hollywood movie, however, it was that, innuendos, drastically changed characters, people other than Rachet getting stabbed, chase scenes, and a Poirot mourning the loss of his love Katherine. I did like his manner and his lighthearted rendition of Poirot, however if you are a fan of David Suchet I would not go in with thinking it will be like that. It is an updated version of the movie. Will I watch it again, probably, as a murder movie? Probably, but to me it is not Poirot, but a flashy version. Entertaining,but Disappointing
I am a follower/fan of Agatha Christie's "Murder on the Orient Express"but update version with the " IN STARS"was disappointing.. The movie was film was lifeless. To me the stars were standing around saying their lines in costume. Unlike the 1974 version,to me the film was in shadows....The characters weren't revolving,they were flat..
