    Nice quality, feature packed radio

    The control knobs/switches, collapsible antenna, and plastic material seem to be of high quaity. The display is large and easy to read. You can set 3 levels of brightness for the backlight of display. Plus, I really like that the backlight will stay on indefinitely. Because this radio has so many features, it is necessary to refer to manual to program its many features. Overall, it is an excellent product, and no other similar radio can compete with the features and low price. I'm very satisfied and recommend this Eton lbrand model, and recommend it.

    Very good but not exceptional

    does most everything well for a portable... but would like a dedicated BFO for the SSB and would like a little more volume when using headphones .. a temporary signal scan ETM feature like the Tecsun would also be nice as an addition to the more permanent ATS

    Great radio for the cost

    Great radio with excellent reception that compares well with other brands such as Tecson. The close out price makes it an easy buy. Plugging in an external antenna really helps bring in distance SW stations. The controls are a bit quirky but nothing that is a deal breaker.

    This thing is a beast! Super great on Airband, FM. Has all the premium features like sync and SSB. Other than the sound this is an upgrade over Tecsun PL880 and XHDATA D 808. I forgot to mention RDS on FM.

    Outstanding Receiver with Good SSB Performance

    I'm finding this to be a very good portable receiver. It is very sensitive, has multiple bandwidths to ensure good selectivity, and has good audio output. One of my top criteria is good SSB performance, and the Eton Elite Executive has it. DSP receivers have a poor reputation for rendering SSB, but I find this receiver to be quite good at this. I think in that regard it compares well to the Tecsun PL-660 and PL-680 analog receivers, and it is much, much better than the PL-880 and PL-990 DSP receivers. Sync detection is also far better than on the PL-880 and PL-990, although still not up to the standard of the old Sony ICF-SW-7600. As far as ease of use, yes, there are some "quirks" that require a review of the manual in order to understand them, but once mastered the receiver is easy ...
