Great hobbyist model
A decent soldering station, with an ergonomic design and easy to use controls. The iron heats up quick which saves time while working. The buttons and controls make adjustments quick and easy, too. Unfortunately, the station base is light-weight plastic and moves when removing the iron from its holder; a heavier base would solve this problem. I would consider this to be a higher-end hobbyist station, or for someone looking to upgrade from a cheaper/basic soldering iron.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This station is great. The time to be ready from turning it on until reaching the target temperature is just a few seconds (5 to 8 seconds). What could be enhanced by Weller? They did not provide a means of attaching it to the bench to avoid moving the station while putting and retrieving the handle. I was already aware of that before ordering it. Since my bench has an iron cover, I just hot-glued a couple of flat rounded neodymium magnets to the bottom. That solved the issue for good.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
