    Good book with an insightful story of racing!

    Greg Fielden writes from a great deal of research. He has reviewed court filings and newspaper account of the history of the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Fielden's books on the history is document in his five volumes of 1-4 and Volume 5 which is entitled 40 Plus 4 . He has been a writer and statistian of the sport for many of the top broadcasters. I have read the book and worked at and for the Speedway and the story is pretty correct. No it's not perfect, but a tells an incredible story of failure and and triumph and the personalities who each contributed to the rise of Speedway as the fore runner of the modern day entity it has become.
