It is a great little welder for thin up to maybe 1/2 inch or thicker material.
It welds off of 120v or 240v and the company under-rates this thing. It will burn 1/8 rods with ease. Has way more power than you would need for small projects or repairs. I ran this welder from a 15 year od 5550/8550 Troy-Bilt generator and it barely made the generator rev up. I could not tell you how long this welder will last but being it is inverter style and how good it works, I think it would last a long time.
