Simple old-world brake cable.
If your brake has the old style big round hole that holds leaf-like plug, that winds the wire around pulleys, carefully remove old spring guides and cut new ones to equal old sections. Use high quality bike grease rubbing into wire where they pass through each guide. Make sure each guide is firmly planted in round receplticles on bike frame like the old one was. Cut each section to length using stiff, sharp, strong needle nose pliers wire cutters. Snip length when done properly, so it won't be either too long, or short. Does not include any crimp cap to keep end from fraying, however. Use lead fishing sinker to seal end after you are done. Then tighten brake so it grips just right. Center the brake using side adjusters so both brakes touch tire at same time. Might have to tighten and loosen each side until they both touch. If brake touches at any point as tire rotates, you might need to use spoke tightening tool to straighten the tire ( watch YouTube to understand how to straighten wheel rotation).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
