1970s Classic Done Criterion-Style
If you just want to see Scanners again after all these years, go ahead and buy one of the Korean discs for $5 or less. If you're a movie buff whose memory reaches back to the '70s, or more particularly a Cronenberg buff and you can appreciate the addition of some recent interviews with cast and crew members, this is your disc set! Remastered from the original under Cronenberg's personal supervision. I leapt at the chance and don't regret it a bit ... thank you Criterion for helping preserve one of David's (and Canadian cinema's) finest moments the right way.
