    Good product, great price

    Very good fit and finish. Very little back lash in the slide screws. Be aware of the placement of the five hold down tabs on the base of the cross slide in relation to the slots on your drill press table. I well need to drill two holes in the table so the cross slide well be centered on my drill press table.

    OK but very bad machining in critical X and Y plains.

    If you expect to use for milling don't buy this. The X axis is not true so it binds. Y axis is even worse as we measure the tolerance off by ~1mm end to end. As the Y axis is moved the tensioning screws must be adjusted. From front adjusted for proper tension, it will bind sharply mid way toward the rear. Have to take it to a machine shop and see if they can true it up.

    Small but not too small.

    If you have a smaller drill press that does not have a large table this is an appropriate size. It would be a little large for the really small tables but it fits well on my Craftsman's bench top drill press.

    Excellent Quality

    You definitely get what you pay for. Having looked at the black Chinese version in person, there is no comparison in quality. The Wilton is clearly Superior and worth the additional cost. Buy it once with confidence, use it a lifetime. Being anti-metric, i'd prefer the graduations which I'll probably never use were in standard. I'd not for that I'd say six out of five stars.

    Best in it's class

    This is the best cross slide drill press vise I have ever used. It is much more precise and tighter than any of the foreign knockoffs. Everything about it is what a drill press cross slide vise should be. Extremely satisfied!!
