Good value rain gauge
This is our first Acurite rain gauge and so far it has proven to be a good one. The only suggestion would be for them to include a screen to keep out small trash from getting into the gauge. Great price for an upgraded device
I owned two of this companies prior model. They lasted about one year each even though they worked well for that time. This is a updated version that appears to be more accurate. Also, it's a more modern design. Only question is that there is no screen to prevent debris from blocking the bottom of the collection bowl. I've only had it for 2 1/2 weeks so I'll se how long it lasts and how easily it clogs up with debris. Overall I'm very pleased with the gage so far.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Too much set up required.
This item requires calibration before it will accurately measure the rain. That’s ridiculous. For this money and the simplicity of what it is, it should already be calibrated.
