No lights like the manual shows, and the soundbar does work. So I have to rely on what my ears hear. It does what I wanted it to do and that was to increase the dialog clarity. My wife can watch her shows at a higher volume setting and I do not hear it in my office. Next challenge will be to mount it to brackets holding the TV.
