Still A Winner
This model is discontinued but its features are still modern in 2019 and it sounds great. Setup is complicated but the manual is clear and complete. The automatic speaker setup function was especially easy and very effective.

Best Sound-a-Round
It was time to upgrade my current surround sound receiver and while looking at all of the possibilities and reading all the reviews something I read in one of the reviews was "I wish I got the more expensive unit". So when I started looking at better models and I selected the Yamaha and this unit is everything I was looking for and more I currently have 4 HDMI input devices attached and the quality is a thousand time better than my old system. I so glad we went with the Yamaha.

I’m not to sure how to answer if it’s easy to use because we had some issues setting it up. Came w/o an instruction book but the internet saved us! But it’s getting a bit easier.

case was dented. so this was damaged, not just open box special. so no good value. Hard to set up. Sounds a little sterile but I don't have a sub so that may be why. doesn't sound good loud but fine at normal listening volume.
