In this dark but goofy and thoroughly fun musical, shy Seymour and bubbly Audrey don't recognize the romance blooming between them, but they do recognize the money-making potential of Seymour's weird plant, discovered after a total eclipse of the sun. Soon money pours in and Seymour becomes a minor celebrity, but behind the glamour and fame lies a secret Seymour can't reveal: this strange and unusual plant's favorite food is blood. As the plant grows taller and taller, its demands for food grow as well, and Seymour starts to suspect that the plant might have an agenda for world domination.

    Issue with Shipping Hello, Really disappointed unfortunately... The shipping was $4.47 in the order. I went today to the Post Office to pick it up, they informed me that it was sent by boat, the seller informed it was books but the package is big and light..They opened up and notice it was a product with battery.     A keeper, thanks to 2 scenes

    While not the sort of movie I would expect myself to enjoy, two of its scenes rendered the whole disc valuable to me as a permanent addition to my library. 1) An idealized view of the 1950s - spot on, even to the color of the walls and the type of furniture, along with that decade's innocent optimism (I was there, back then, and can swear to how correctly this film depicted it); 2) The plant's final song, with singing coming from unexpected places. Had to make me smile.

    horror, comedy and also a musical with catchy tunes

    When the movie first came out, one of the songs, " I'm a big bad mother from outer space," was playing on the radio for making Billboards hits. Rick Moranis was the leading character that found a strange plant that drank blood. You also had Steve Martin playing a sadistic dentist. Anyway, you have this tiny little plant that keeps growing every time it get to have blood to to eat. The extra features told how much work it went through to animate the plant. The original movie was made in only 2 days, what a difference.

    An underrated classic!

    Given the year this was made, and the insane budget and time restrictions they were working with, this musical movie is an absolute gem! Some of the songs are a lot better than others but all in all I absolutely loved the entire experience. A note: I'd call the movie a musical comedy, not a "horror" movie, although some small children may have issues with the grown version of Audrey II and parents might not want their kids to listen to his "vulgar" language.

    Great movie, DVD quality OK

    I wouldn't describe the DVD quality as very good, it looks and sounds like a copy from an old VHS. The DVD doesn't even have a menu. But I guess for the price I can't complain. The movie itself however is very good. Shipping was very fast.
