Synopsis
The transformation from medical student to physician is a gradual one, requiring the assimilation of vast amounts of knowledge as well as the development of the ability to "think like a doctor." The thought processes that enable a physician to "think like a doctor" are perhaps the most difficult skills the clinician-in-training must acquire in medical school and residency. In this extraordinary book, Dr. Howard Barrows, one of the world's foremost medical educators, beautifully and simply articulates those mental processes that allow accomplished physicians to reach diagnostic conclusions with speed and confidence. Students who master the contents of this book will take a long step forward in acquiring the diagnostic skills that are the hallmark of the experienced physician., I think this is an outstanding book and one that I would recommend for our students. If students digest the lessons of this book the level of practice of medicine in this country will rise significantly!' --Roy H. Great eBay transaction in every way. Awesome power seller. Book arrived in excellent condition as described. Amazing value and bargain. Shipped in a discrete manner and arrived safely with no damage whatsoever. Beautiful book. I am very impressed with this seller. Book was shipped right away and there was no delay in shipping. High quality transaction and A+ seller. Would definitely do business with again. Thanks, and keep up the great work. Take care and all the best. Highly recommended seller!

No trouble with seller but I bought this book and two others that comprise the series, all from separate used book sellers on eBay, all at the same time. All shipped separately, all were somehow held at the post office, supposedly according to my request (which I never gave--these are under $5 paperbacks, just leave them on the porch!!), and only notification I got was "delivery attempted." I've had one refund already--not wanted--and now I have all the books. Pain in the ass thanks to USPS.
