    Saved my MacBook Pro

    I had a MacBook Pro that would randomly shut down and the display would go dark. I took a chance and bought this used board, had it installed and my Mac has been resurrected.

    As described, recommended as a replacement if you still want a dual-graphics retina before spending $2500 on the new models

    I needed this one because my NVIDIA GT650 completely died on the original board and possibly the screen output solders as well (no display output - i could only "see" my screen via Remote esktop!) Just make sure you have an external Mountain Lion disk to be able to boot with it as the bios/EFI on this one is still from 2012. it will not directly boot in your Yosemite+ partition. Once you update the external mountain lion partition to a current version of OS X, it will boot just fine from your original internal disk.
