  • Original and Brilliant!

Marketed as a children's book, this is the story of a pole trying to find his true purpose in life; so he tries his hand at various pole jobs. If you are considering purchasing this book for a child, consider the child's age since the pole 'interns' at a stripper club. Cute and funny, but not age appropriate. But, as Stephen Colbert himself has said: 'They have to learn somewhere...to ease them into adulthood'. This is a very funny and charming book. I highly recommended it...for all ages!

  • Not Colbert's best

I have several of John Colbert's other books that are funny, engaging, and entertaining. I bought this book online so I couldn't look at it first. This one was poorly written, confusing content. Maybe he needed money and threw this together quickly. When I closed the back of the book my first thought was "What a waste". I don't recommend buying this book.
