Most unforgiving mother of boards you will ever use
If you are using this motherboard to mine, there are a few things you need to know before buying this board. First, make sure your cpu is lga 1151 and runs a skylake core. Find the gigabyte link for supported cpus as the stock bios only supports skylake. Next make you are using Ddr4 ram. Once you have all of the other parts, follow the gigabyte guide for this motherboard to update the main bios and windows for mining. Then add each rizer in one at a time and keep shutting and restarting the pc for each one. If you blue screen, try just restarting a few times. I found that the amd drivers I was using on my R9 290 and 390s was causing driver endless loops, so I just let windows put whatever drivers it could find and it worked eventually. I was fortunate that all slots worked. My last mobo with 4 pcie slots just worked. While this one took several hundred restarts and over 50 bsods. I am happy with the end result. Best of luck!

Mehhh...it works.
If you are looking for a platform that works at a minimum, basic level, then this motherboard achieves that. I did run into difficulties trying to get Windows 7 x64 Pro installed on this system due to driver support (it had troubles finding the SATA hard drives for me to be able to install Windows), so I ended up using another computer to do a basic install, just to get it up and running, and then migrated the hard drive over to finish installing the rest of the drivers, etc. Ironically, this motherboard has a parallel port (I don't know what you would use that for in 2021, but okay). It is also noteworthy that other newer and/or more advanced platforms will have either a HDMI output or at least a DVI output, whereas this one, it's VGA only. So, take note of that if you are thiking of buying this motherboard to make sure that you still have a display that would be compatible with the VGA output. Beyond that, again, at a basic level, it works. Nothing fancy about it (other than the PCIe slot arrangement), but there are other boards that are more expensive, and can have potentially significantly more PCIe x1 slots. This board is certainly cheaper than the other options though, so it's certainly an option.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
