    I'm glad I had another spring!

    The spring that came with this toilet paper holder is TOO BIG and TOO LONG. It's very difficult to put it inside one end of the roller and almost impossible to attach the other end without it flying off (because the spring tension is too great) while trying to insert the roller into the holes of the toilet paper mounting plate. It's a good thing that I kept the spring from my other plastic toilet paper holder roller or I wouldn't have been able to use this one. Other than that, I like the fact that it's actually metal . . . and that it doesn't really have an antique brass finish (to me), since the mounting plate I have is polished brass -- so it matches quite nicely.

    Real Brass!

    Like it says, it is solid brass (not painted plastic). You will need to lightly twist the spring to get it into each end of the roller. This is so the spring does not fall out each time you take the roller out of its holder. A quality product!!!f

    The brass part of the holder is fine. The spring part is not fine, it is too big and can not fit inside the brass holders
