    GARMIN DEZL OTR800 REVIEW

    This particular GPS is wonderful. We upgraded from a car only GPS to this trucker version. It has elevation, sunset times & many other extremely useful tips. The best thing about this unit is that it will route you as a truck or a car depending on what size and weight you enter. This unit can totally save you from getting stuck in an inner city area - especially if you're hauling a trailer or are a big truck versus when you do not have length or height restrictions when traveling in a car. This unit will get you where you need to go in the most efficient manner to your destination. Recommend this OTR800/1000 100%. Great GPS!

    Two steps forward one step backwards.

    Great upgrade but takes time to learn, audio islow and tone get lost in vehicle noise, frequency is too high pitch. Previous version has better audio quality, Bluetooth is not stable so live traffic is not always available.

    Great GPS

    The unit is nice. I would probably buy it again. The reason for only 4 stars is the volume on the turn by turn is horrible. I have a day cab which is a bit noisy. I can barely hear the directions. I went out and bought a powered Bluetooth speaker. Now I can hear it. Everything else is great.

    Good trucker gps/ tablet

    The otr800 is a great tablet/trucker gps. Its very helpful for a newbie trucker since it tells you of sharp curves and shows you altitudes at all times. Its not perfect but it does a good job. It also doesn't seem to stop charging when it gets too hot. I bought it used for 400$ and so far it seems to be worth it. Just beware that if you get it used that it comes with the magnetic dock and car charger included for it since both are pretty expensive by themselves.
