You can't go wrong with Eminence. However I must say, that comparing these speakers to some 1997 12" Eminence OEM speakers that I own, the 1997s have a slight edge in tone. The 1997s have a deeper shell and the cone is not ribbed, however the surrounds are the same type. The 1997s have a bit better lower bass response. However these OEM speakers which Boenisch is selling are very good.
