Golden Antiquity
The Antiquity Soapbar pickup by Seymour Duncan was the third P90 that I tried in this guitar. I finally have the balance right between the neck and bridge. I am so impressed by this pickup, with its sensitivity to pick attack and its response to the guitar's volume control, I feel like I have struck gold. On any tube amp, the dynamic range of the pickup's response to digging in with the pick is amazing, you can literally go from a whisper to a scream. A twist of the volume takes you from clean to beefy. This single pickup can conjure so many very different tones and colours, you feel like you have a half dozen pickups on your guitar. And for a single coil, I found it very quiet. I may never buy another humbucking pickup.
