This is an excellent receiver for satellite radio. 30 presets and the ability to pause, rewind and fast forward the songs is absolutely fabulous. I would recommend this receiver to anyone thinking about it.

Sirius has changed it's subscription concept. First the seller said it had a subscription for the unit. But it did not. I considered just buying a subscription for the life of the unit. But, Sirius does not offer lifetime anymore. I therefore have sent the unit back to the seller. As I am not interested in paying Sirius a monthly fee. I do have one Starmate with a boombox for the house and had originally put the Starmate in a cradle in a older Volvo 850. Just thought it would be easier to have two. Sorry to say it is not that easy these days

This is the best receiver if you are interested in using Sirius A La Carte (50 channels, $7.99). It has 45+ minutes of playback memory. Most receivers are NOT A La Carte capable. This one is. Not XM but Sirius. Although they are the same company they use different systems. The Sirius is much farther reaching. We actually use ours in Central America. XM only gets to Mexico City.

This unit is super easy to install and operate. It's easily moved from your vehicle to your house to play through your home stereo, if you purchase a home kit (Was included in this deal). I also purchased a portable boombox so that I can use this unit on a picnic in the mountains or to relax at the beach. I highly recomend this unit. For the best quality sound, in your vehicle, use the aux connection and wire, if the aux is available on your vehicles system. I use mine on my Honda Goldwing GL1800, in my house, and on my patio. Very versitile.
Excellent item. The ability to record, rewind and fast forward shows while you listen is great. Much better option than using up your data minutes on the app, this way its $6 per month for unlimited usage.
